Grupo Ortiz is promoting the Rehabilitation Project of Facades, Roofs and Carpentry of the old Tobacco factory, located in the Lavapiés neighborhood, Madrid. This project will be managed through the development of the BIM model in the construction phase. The building has 4 floors and a constructed area of 44,000 m2. The rehabilitation consists of changing the façade with the wooden and steel windows with their respective locks, the sheet steel doors, the aluminum covers and the curtain wall-type aluminum skylight.
Grupo Ortiz has requested CORE – Lean Construction Project Management, an expert in Design & Construction Management, to develop the BIM model in the construction phase, which will contain the information from the As-built registry, and will serve as support to generate the necessary information, obtaining one and a faithful image of the work executed.
CORE has incorporated some of the aspects of its C2R Construction Project Management System allowing for the Project:
i. In development of a BIM architectural model.
ii. BIM Management and integration of the rest of the disciplines.
