Capfield Spain is promoting the La Vega Shopping Center located in Alcobendas, Madrid. This project exists to adapt the center to the current needs of the area, therefore it will be carried out in phases, depending on the demand from new tenants and the expected increase in foot traffic they will generate.
In order to strengthen JWS Consultores’ role as Project Manager, Capfield SL has enlisted the support of CORE, an expert in Design & Construction Management, to assist in cost management during the Project and Construction Execution phases. CORE will gather and manage all coordinated information across different disciplines, working alongside the Broadway Maylan Design Team to develop a project definition system based on the Lean technique “Target Value Design” to optimize costs and contain risks in procurement and execution of works.
CORE has incorporated some aspects of its C2R Project Management System, allowing for cost optimization that will enable the client to achieve the best quality-to-price ratio for their works. These improvements over traditional project management systems contribute to having an accurate image of the construction project, detecting issues that may have arisen during the works at very early stages.
